Dangerous Winds

I'm so happy the Hallowe'en For cast looks perfect for the Midwest.  I'm just worried about tonight, suppose to be 60 mile hour winds tonight.  If any of you live around Illinois baton down the hatches and bring in the props.  Hate to have um ruined for the big night.

To LIFT the Curse...

This is going to sound crazy, but if anyone has any advise out there I would greatly appreciate it.  I was at a McDonald's of all places when I got the quarter (AKA the resting place of ill found fate).  It sounded different when the change was dropped in my hand, so I looked a little closer.  I noticed the year and clanged it against the other change in my hand, sure enough silver.  I thought cool, I'll carry this around as a lucky coin.  Wrong... This is crazy, but really bad things started happening to me since I got it, my days just went out of sink and nothing went right.  Normally I am somewhat sceptical about stuff like this, but I can't tell you how disturbing this is.  I don't want to give it away, because I don't want to pass on the bad luck.  I tried just leaving it at home, but the bad luck continued. So throwing it in a lake doesn't seem to be the answer, because then it might still be attached to me...  Anyone out there got any ideas????  I'm thinking about burying it in a church cemetery at midnight on Halloween.  But with my new luck I'll probably be arrested :)

Leaves Needed

It seems like the leaves are taking forever to fall this year.  Maybe I'm imagining things but  usually my ground breakers bases are covered by now.  I think we need more wind.

Flat Stanley

You remember Fat Stanley??  Hes the little paper boy that schools send home with kids. Then they are told  to give him to a  relative to take on vacation.  My Nephew choose me.  So Flat Stanley went Ghost hunting in the cemetery with the infrared camera.  I wonder what the teacher thought :)  We had fun... Flat Stanley needed a change of construction paper pants.

Glitter

What is it with Halloween and glitter the last two years???  I think it all started with Martha Stewart.  My problem is I love Halloween, but for some strange reason I'm terrified of glitter.  So I will post no pictures of said Glitter.  So as not to get to close to it.  That way it will not indefinitely cling to my person only to disappear, and then reappear in a time of it's choosing.... Yes I'm a Sparkalaphobic and I am not ashamed to admit it.

Crank Shaft Ghost

I totally love these things.  I made mine with Vaseline glass marble eyes it turns bright green with the black light no power source needed.

ScareCrow Entry

Not as good as Pumpkinrot's for sure.  But we'll see how he does.

1920's

I always wished I could go back in time as a kid in the 1920's.  Hallowe'en was still home made back then.  The costumes were just a tad bit creeper,(if you don't believe me just look at some old vintage hallowe'en pictures) and the decorations were so simple and festive.  Here's my attempt to Honor that time...

No Trespassing

When I was growing up we had a family farm, at the end of the gravel road there was this house.  It was abandoned and the barn was caving in. We used to sneak into it when we were kids and try to scare each other.  I remember there were old matresses in some of the rooms that the mice would scamper under.  The curtains hung very tattered, and the windows were all broken out.  All kids should have such houses.  I took this picture a few years ago. To this day it still stands waiting...
